Those that are familiar with Moravian Falls have heard many a story of angelic encounters, portals, open heavens and creative downloads. With such a colorful spiritual history, one could easily focus on the past and maybe just a bit of the present, while never really considering His Plans for the future of Moravian Falls and the impact that it will have on the world.

When we try to duplicate the past and even the present to determine the future, we usually miss the true destiny of the Lord. One of the main reasons that people are hindered in their advancement is by their trying to duplicate what is perceived as great events of the past. They then bring them into their present reality and form them into expectations of the future, wrongly assuming what the future should be.

Sadly, since many moves of God have been marred, cut short or even artificially prolonged by the ways of man being poisoned by religion. Most moves of the Lord were only meant to last for a specific season, they were never meant to be formulas or patterns, but sovereign moves of God.

“Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
IS 43 v 19

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him
1Cor 2 v 9

However, we must never hold to the misnomer that destiny will be marred or cancelled by past events, in land or in people. That makes it way too easy for the enemy as he has tried and failed many times by persecutions, perversions and the spilling much blood, attempting to defile and negate the plans of The Almighty for His People and His Land.

Reversing the Curse

Wilkes County, in which Moravian Falls is located, has a very dark past in regards to The Cherokee people. The Cherokee Nation originally inhabited the bulk of the land in this region of North Carolina until the arrival of the white settlers, with which initially resulted in much blood being shed upon the face of the land.

When The Moravians first entered the region, they were first perceive as a threat to The Cherokee as just another group of invading white settlers, this too resulted in more confrontation. However, after some time had passed, the Moravian missionaries were no longer seen as a threat, but as friendly, The Cherokee then welcomed them into their land allowing for the Gospel to be spread to both the young and old of The Cherokee people.

Fast forward a generation or two, and the demonic agenda of the Trail of Tears takes place with not only the theft of The Cherokee land, but also the site of a major internment camp known as Mulberry Field located n Wilkes County. This was for the imprisonment of Native American tribes until they could be marched out West to Oklahoma. Much blood was once again spilt upon the land and all along the Trail of Tears, which ran right through the nation, until they reached their new imprisonment, being confined to the reservation. Tragically, many of them died on the trail before ever reaching the reservation out West because of cruel treatment and no provisions to survive the harsh weather.

The Cherokee were removed from their house, farms, businesses and schools, along with all of their possessions and land. Their inheritance was stolen from them, specifically in our area, Wilkes County, North Carolina, and by the hands of our ancestors. Yikes, our government, with the help of our ancestors stole all of the inheritance of The Cherokee people in Wilkes County, North Carolina and that has resulted in major consequences for the people of our area.

“Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,
an undeserved curse does not come to rest
Proverbs 26 v 2

Which also means that a curse with a cause does land!

Consequences of the Curse

Many Businesses, Opportunities, Economic Development, Education Systems, Technology Advances, Ministries and even the next Generations have had to leave the area or suffer great loss, hardships and even financial failure. The list is quite large, but some major examples are the Furniture Manufacturing and the Fabric Industry, which had employed thousands, even Lowes Home Improvement and NASCAR, as these enterprises were all started in Wilkes. These, along with countless more, were stolen from the local people instead of becoming the inheritance they were destined to be. In their place poverty, unemployment and hopelessness became entrenched in the land. Drug abuse, high drop out rates and rampant teen pregnancy have plagued the region for many years.
I’ve only been on the land for a little over 20 years, but have seen this cycle repeat itself over and over again. Talk to any “Old-Timer” and you’ll hear more than an earful of such history and feel their hopelessness.

Broken Covenants

The Lord takes covenant very seriously and never breaks His Word with us, as well as He expects that we should never break ours, with anyone! Even when the Gibeonites deceived Joshua into making a covenant with them, The Lord would not allow the Israelites to break agreement with them. There are many scriptures detailing the consequences of breaking covenants throughout the bible and He changes not.

Our U.S. Government has broken over 300 covenants with The First Nations people and all of them with the intent to steal their land that they were promised in previous covenants.

Although some very weak gestures have been made, the United States governmental leaders have never truly acknowledged our sins, repented to the First Nations and asked for forgiveness. No true reparations have ever been offered. Many tribes have had to resort to legal means to possess what was already given to them. Once again to our great disgrace, our government agencies have even used armed personnel to dispossess them from the land that legally belonged to the Native Americans even to this day!

How can we possibly not expect to bear the brunt of curses for these sins? God’s Word can either be life or death to us. Let us choose life and live to declare the Goodness of The Lord.

Through Prayer, Repentance and the Power of The Blood of Jesus we can break this curse! Although there has been legislation prepared for some time for our President to confess our nation’s breaking of covenants with the First Nations and formally ask for their forgiveness, this has not yet occurred in any official manner acknowledging any true repentance. When that finally does publicly occur, I believe that The First Nations leadership will, in turn, offer and declare their forgiveness for such horrific treatment of their ancestors, making a way for great Blessings being released upon this Nation.

If we, as the Ecclesia, will do the same and if the people of our region will welcome and receive The Cherokee back home with honor, we too will see the Windows of Heaven open with a Blessing released upon our land and its inhabitants far beyond the likes of anything that we have ever seen or heard!

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land

2 Chronicles 7 v 14

His Glory in The Land

While being merely mortal men and woman, none of us have seen the future in its entirety, but He sometimes in His Love and Compassion, will give us glimpses of what is to come in order to encourage and keep us on track. Just as Moses was chosen to see the blueprints in heaven of the tabernacle, there are certainly blue prints in heaven for what Moravian Falls is destined to become.
Many seers and prophets have actually seen or heard and described some glimpses of the future of Moravian Falls; there are also many other ways that The Lord communicates His Plans to us. Although seeing in the spirit is not a gift that I have yet been able to exercise, I do get spiritual downloads concerning the destiny of Moravian Falls and what I can share is that what we see and experience now is not even a small fraction of what is about to come!

While there have been aspects of “His Glory” in historical accounts and places, what we are about to experience in Moravian Falls is the manifestation of His Glory in the fullness not yet experienced in the world to this day.

What does it mean when we say “His Glory?” In “His Glory” is His Fullness, Presence, Promises, Righteousness, Justice, Healing, Wisdom, Understanding, Redemption, Reconciliation, Inheritance, Destiny, Creativity, Strategies, Deliverance, Wholeness and much more than I could ever list. That is just a very short list of why we as individuals would want to be in His Glory, but what about the Nations? How much more will the destinies of the multitudes be impacted by the transformation of their leaders through their encounters in “His Glory” as they visit Moravian Falls? Selah!!!

Look among the nations! Observe!
Be astonished! Wonder!
Because I am doing something in your days—
You would not believe if you were told
Hab 1 v 5
